Condense is designed to support production-grade real-time data workloads across industries, deployment environments, and application architectures. The platform provides the streaming infrastructure, data integration, processing, application runtime, and operational capabilities required to run continuously operating workloads at scale. Production workloads can range from IoT and connected assets to enterprise applications, industrial systems, logistics, and other event-driven use cases. The underlying architecture is designed to scale with the volume, velocity, and complexity of these workloads while maintaining predictable performance and operational reliability.

Production Scale

Condense has been deployed in production environments where workloads continuously generate and process large volumes of real-time data. These figures represent a production deployment and demonstrate the scale at which the Condense streaming architecture can operate.

Production Reference: Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles

One example of Condense operating at production scale is Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV), where Condense powers a large connected-vehicle data workload. The deployment processes data from 250,000+ connected vehicles, handling more than 150 TB of data per month with dynamic throughput between 120 and 500 Mbps and pipeline latency below 500 ms. Condense is deployed within VECV’s own cloud environment using the BYOC deployment model, allowing the streaming platform to operate within the customer’s cloud infrastructure while Condense manages the platform. This deployment demonstrates Condense’s ability to operate a high-volume, continuously running streaming workload while supporting the processing and application requirements associated with connected assets.

What the Deployment Demonstrates

  • Scale: 250,000+ connected vehicles
  • Data volume: 150+ TB/month
  • Throughput: 120–500 Mbps
  • Latency: <500 ms
  • Availability: 99.95% SLA
  • Deployment: Customer cloud using BYOC
  • Streaming foundation: Managed Kafka
  • Processing: Real-time stream processing and domain-specific transformations

Beyond a Single Industry

VECV represents one production deployment of Condense, not the boundary of the platform. The same Condense architecture can be used wherever organizations need to continuously ingest, process, transform, and distribute event data. The data sources, processing logic, applications, and domain capabilities can change without changing the underlying streaming foundation. This is enabled by the separation between the core streaming platform and domain-specific capabilities. Condense provides the common infrastructure and runtime, while specialized transforms, connectors, applications, and partner capabilities can be introduced for the requirements of a particular industry or workload.
This allows Condense to remain a general-purpose real-time streaming and application platform, while its ecosystem provides the specialized capabilities required for individual domains.

Why Production Scale Matters

Running a streaming platform at production scale requires more than the ability to process events. The platform must continuously handle changes in throughput, maintain predictable latency, recover from failures, support operational visibility, and allow applications to evolve without disrupting the underlying streaming workloads. Condense is designed around these requirements, combining the streaming foundation and the operational capabilities required to run real-time workloads continuously. VECV demonstrates one such deployment at significant scale. The platform is designed to extend the same foundation to other real-time workloads and industries.
